Delicious black velvet full skirt circa the 1950s or 1960s. It's so hard to tell from the photos but if you look closely, you'll see it's a quilted velvet. The skirt is full but not a full circle. Hook and eye closure and metal zipper. No label and definitely handmade. Large size I'd say.

Excellent vintage condition. It is handmade so the seams inside are a little rough and could probably do with some threads snipped away. I've been doing these as I come across them but there will probably be more. Otherwise, the only issue is some of the threading of the quilting is coming loose. I've tried to show this in one of the photos, but hard to see against the black.

Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at waist and hip.
Waist: 31"
Hip: Full
Waist to bottom hem: 27.5"
